01 — The road to launch
Three dates
that matter
Preload opens
Digital pre-orders download ahead of launch: PS5 at midnight local time, Xbox at 00:00 GMT worldwide. Boxed copies are code-in-a-box (no disc) and reach stores 12 Nov. Do the storage maths below first — 212 GB is not a small ask.
ConfirmedLaunch night
Unlocks at midnight per store region, rolling around the world — in the US that's midnight ET (9pm PT on 18 Nov). Standard edition is $79.99, Ultimate is $99.99 (US pricing — see your regional store for local prices).
ConfirmedPC watch begins
An unconfirmed GamesBeat report (Oct 2026, anonymous sources) points to a Q1 2027 PC window. Rockstar has announced nothing — treat this as the start of the watch, not a date.

Don't get scammed
This site sells nothing and offers no downloads. There is no legitimate GTA 6 PC key, PC download, or paid early access anywhere — anyone charging for one before Rockstar announces a PC version is running a scam. Only buy from the official Rockstar Store, PlayStation Store, or Xbox Store, reached from the sources at the bottom of this page. Never enter payment details on a site that a social post sent you to.

Will 212 GB
actually fit?
Most launch-night pain is storage pain. Check your free space, see exactly how much you need to clear, and estimate how long that preload download will take on your connection. Everything runs in your browser — nothing you enter here is sent or stored anywhere.

Storage checker
Slide to the free space on your console right now (Settings → Storage).
Bar shows your free space against the 212 GB needed.
Make room: tap what you can delete
Typical install sizes — your mileage will vary. Tapping adds the space back to your total above.

Short on space? Fix it before 10 Nov
Affiliate links — we may earn a commission · your price doesn't changeIf the checker above says you're short, these are the three fixes that actually solve a 212 GB problem — in the order we'd buy them. Recommendations only; check compatibility and the live price at the retailer before you pay.
PS5-compatible NVMe SSD with heatsink · 1–2 TB
An internal PCIe Gen4 NVMe with a fitted heatsink is what PS5 expansion requires — it holds GTA 6 alongside your library instead of replacing it. The single upgrade the 212 GB figure is really pointing at.
Check SSD optionsExternal game drive for PS4 games & captures
PS4 titles and captured clips can live on an external USB drive, freeing the internal SSD for PS5 games. Cheaper than an NVMe — but note PS5 games themselves can't run from one.
Check external drivesGaming headset & controller charging dock
Storage sorted, the other launch-night killers are a flat controller and TV speakers at 1am. A headset and a drop-in charging dock are the two accessories players actually use past week one.

$79.99 or $99.99?
A $20 gap is real money. Here's the honest split — prices are US store prices in USD before tax and will differ in other regions. Always check the official store listing for the exact bonus contents of the Ultimate edition before you pay, because that's where the value has to be.

Standard Edition
- The full game at launch, midnight 19 Nov
- Digital preload from 10 Nov, same as everyone
- Best for: story-first players and anyone watching the budget
- A $20 Ultimate Edition Upgrade is sold separately if the extras tempt you later — same total as buying Ultimate
Ultimate Edition
- The full game at launch, midnight 19 Nov
- Premium bundle tier — verify the exact extras on the official listing before buying
- Best for: collectors and day-one-everything players
- Worth it only if you'll actually use the extras — $20 also buys a month of snacks for launch week
Neither edition includes early access — both unlock at the same time. This guide has no purchase links and earns nothing from which edition you choose; buy only through the official stores listed under Sources.

GTA 6 on PC:
confirmed vs rumour
This is the page to bookmark. Everything Rockstar and Take-Two have actually said lives in green. Everything else is labelled for exactly what it is.

Status as of 5 Nov 2026. This page is a snapshot checked against the sources below on that date — a date only moves from rumour to confirmed when Rockstar says it out loud.
Where legit PC keys come from
Affiliate links — we may earn a commission · your price doesn't changeFor games on this tracker that genuinely have a PC version — Fable arrives on PC on 23 Feb 2027 — these authorised key retailers are where our links will point at launch. Read this next to the scam alert above: none of them sells a GTA 6 PC key, because no GTA 6 PC version has been announced. Anyone claiming otherwise is the scam.

Saw a "leak"?
Run it through this
Launch season is fake-screenshot season. Answer honestly about the post you saw and get a trust score — the more boxes it fails, the louder you should hear alarm bells.
Was it posted by an official Rockstar / Take-Two channel?Rockstar's own site, verified socials, or a Take-Two announcement.
Have multiple major outlets reported the same detail?Same specifics, independently — not just quoting one viral post.
Does it avoid the classic bait?No PC date Rockstar hasn't announced, no giveaway / key-sale link, no "download now".
Does the image / video hold up on zoom?No warped hands, melted text, or AI-smooth nonsense in the details.
Trust score
Answer the four questions to score the post you saw.
Rule of thumb that never fails: if it were real and big, it would be on Rockstar's homepage — not in a random account's replies. Screenshots are cheap now; official confirmation is the only currency.

The ready-by-midnight list
- Free up 212 GB Use the planner above — deleting on preload day, with everyone else downloading, is the worst version of this job.
- Preload on 10 Nov Digital pre-orders: PS5 at midnight local, Xbox at 00:00 GMT. Bought the box? It's a download code, in stores from 12 Nov — redeem it then. Either way, 212 GB takes hours even on fast fibre (the planner estimates your line).
- Decide your edition before launch night $79.99 vs $99.99 — decide with a clear head, not at 11:58 pm.
- Update the console & controller System updates love to appear at the worst moment. Do them this week.
- PC players: do nothing (yet) No keys to buy, no specs to build to. Your launch is the announcement — this tracker will flag it.

When does GTA 6 come out?

Is GTA 6 coming to PC on day one?
No. There is no PC version announced at all. Only an unconfirmed GamesBeat report mentions a possible Q1 2027 window. Until Rockstar announces it, there is no PC date, spec list, price, or legitimate PC key.
When can I preload, and how much space do I need?
Digital preload opens Tuesday 10 November 2026 — PS5 at midnight local time, Xbox at 00:00 GMT worldwide. Boxed copies hold a download code (no disc) and reach stores 12 November. Budget up to 212 GB of free space — use the planner above to check your console and estimate your download time.
How much does it cost?
Standard edition is $79.99 and Ultimate edition is $99.99 on console, at US store prices in USD before tax. Check the official store listing in your region for local pricing and the Ultimate edition's exact contents.
That screenshot / trailer I saw — is it real?
Run it through the leak checker above. If it didn't come from an official Rockstar or Take-Two channel and major outlets aren't reporting the same detail, treat it as fake until proven otherwise.
09 — About this tracker
Unofficial, independent, labelled
This is an independent fan-made guide. It is not published by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, Sony, Microsoft, or any game publisher. Game and console names are used only to identify the products being tracked — that's nominative use, not a partnership.
How a claim earns its label
Confirmed means the publisher or an official store listing states it directly. Rumour means a named report exists but the publisher has not confirmed it — the report and its sourcing are always named. TBC means nothing official exists yet. A claim never moves up a label on the strength of social posts, screenshots, or retailer placeholder pages.
Corrections
Dates, prices and platform lists change. If you spot an error, check it against the official sources below first — if this page disagrees with them, this page is wrong and the official source wins. Every figure on this page carries the date it was checked, and material corrections are made in the text, not quietly swapped.

Privacy policy
What this page collects: nothing on a server. The countdown, storage checker, download estimator, edition quiz, leak checker and contact builder all run entirely in your browser. Anything you enter in those tools is never sent anywhere by this page, never stored, and is gone when you close the page. There are no accounts. The launch & preload alerts form in the hero is a prototype in this version: it sends and stores nothing. When the live mailing provider is connected at launch, signing up will send your email address to that provider solely to send the launch and preload alerts you asked for, and this policy will name that provider before the form goes live.
Advertising cookies (when ads run). This site is supported by display advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on a user's visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Third parties may also place and read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons and IP addresses, to collect information as a result of ad serving on this site.
Opting out. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, users can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the tools on this page keep working either way.
Your rights. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, delete, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because this page itself collects no personal information, those rights mainly concern data held by the advertising vendors described above — use the opt-out routes above, or the vendor's own privacy controls. This site does not sell personal information.
Children. This site covers a mature-rated game, is written for adult players, and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will appear in this section with a new date. This version: 5 Nov 2026.
Terms of use
By using this page you agree to these terms. The content is general information about release dates, prices and hardware requirements, provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Publishers can move dates, change prices, and alter install sizes at any time — confirm anything you are spending money on at the official store first.
Nothing on this page is a download, a key, early access, or an offer to sell anything. Any third-party site claiming this page sent you there to buy a GTA 6 PC key or download is misrepresenting this page — do not pay them.
The original text, tools and artwork on this page belong to this site's publisher and may not be republished wholesale. Brief quotations with a link back are fine. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for losses arising from reliance on release information that a publisher later changed, or from third-party sites linked or mentioned here.
Advertising & affiliate disclosure
Advertising on this site is labelled "Advertisement" and is kept separate from the tools and editorial content. Nothing here asks you to click an ad, and ad placement never changes a label, date, price or verdict in the tracker. Some storage, accessory and PC game-key recommendations on this page are affiliate placements: they are labelled "Affiliate links" where they appear, the links carry rel="sponsored nofollow", and if you buy through one the retailer may pay this site a commission — the price you pay does not change because of it. In this prototype version the affiliate destinations are not yet live, so no commission is currently earned from them; they switch on at launch. This site earns nothing from which GTA 6 edition you choose, and the edition comparison carries no purchase links. Sponsored content, if ever published, will be labelled "Sponsored" in its heading.
Copyright, trademarks & takedown
"Grand Theft Auto", "GTA", "GTA VI" and Rockstar Games marks are trademarks and copyrights of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. "PlayStation" and "PS5" are trademarks of Sony Interactive Entertainment. "Xbox" is a trademark of the Microsoft group of companies. "Marvel's Wolverine", "Fable" and all other game names are trademarks of their respective owners. This site uses those names only to identify the products it tracks (nominative fair use), claims no ownership of them, and is not endorsed by any of their owners. The hero artwork on this page is an original illustration created for this site — it is not a screenshot, key art, or logo from any game.
Rights holders: if any content on this page infringes your rights, prepare a notice with the contact & takedown builder below — it assembles everything a valid notice needs (the content, the right infringed, your authority to act, and your contact details). Valid notices are acted on promptly, and infringing material will be removed or corrected.
Contact, corrections & takedown
Publisher contact for this site is published on its live domain alongside this page, and that address is the route for corrections, privacy requests, and copyright notices. To make any of those fast to act on, use the builder below: pick the type, describe the issue with the page section it appears in and a source link if you have one, then copy the finished notice and send it to the publisher contact. The builder runs entirely in your browser — it sends nothing itself and keeps nothing.
